My move from Drupal to WP for blogging

You may have noticed (probably not) that I’ve moved my blog from Drupal 6 to Wordpress 2.7. I’ve done this for a few reasons:

  • WP doesn’t require as much attention (read: time) to setup and maintain. It’s the king of one-person blogging without frills.
  • Drupal is very powerful and would have been overkill in my case for what I have planned for the blog.
  • I use Drupal on many other projects and thought it wise to learn something else as well.

I hope to present my own custom theme in the next few weeks as a challenge to myself but for now it’s mighty fun to trawl through WP’s themes by thousands of contributors.

One thing that hasn’t changed is that I’m a lazy blogger; well on my own blog, anyway :/
